Faux Silk Technique
All items used are by stampin’ up! unless specified.
You will need: Tissue paper (from the supermarket/newsagent)
Glue Stick
card stock of your choice
stamp set of your choice
ink colours of your choice
I inked up the flower stamp with either an ink pad or marker pens, stamped them randomly on the tissue paper. Make tissue paper slightly larger than the piece you are going to stick it on to. Once it was decorated as I liked, I scrunched up that piece of tissue paper and then opened it flat again, without smoothing out the wrinkles too much. I applied the glue stick all over the card stock, white or your choice of colour, then stuck the tissue paper over it and folded the edges over the card so it gave a nice finish. Try not to press out the wrinkles, it gives such a lovely effect. I then matted it onto more coloured card stock and finish card so suit. It is so easy but is so effective. Have fun and experiment, I also sponged some of the flowers before I stuck it on or you can rub you ink pad over it when it has dried. Have fun. Send me your cards and I will put them on here.
